The St. Landry Parish Council on Aging Mardi Gras Dance was once again held the afternoon before Mardi Gras at the Northwest Community Center in Eunice. Young zydeco star Guyland Leday, who has appeared on several national television shows, provided the music that kept the dance floor full. Participants also received awards, given to the best costume and best dancer, and to a king and queen.
